Live Anthology Vol 1 is the first full album released by 4th Street Band the album consists of 10 songs recorded in various venue's from their previous tours. The album was an unexpected critical and commercial success peaking at No 8 in the USA Album Charts.

HistoryEdit

The album was released on 28th December with Max Armstrong calling it a late christmas present for fans on The Junction official website. The release wasn't planned at all but he called each member of the band and they all met up and Max proposed that they release the live album and each member of the band agreed, they then selected which songs would feature on the album together. After the release of the album rumours started circulating on the internet that the band could be touring in 2011 which is yet to be confirmed or denied by any band members. Tracks 1,2,3 were from a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York, tracks 4 and 5 were from a performance at the Centre in Los Angeles, tracks 6,7,8 were from a performance at Slane Castle in Dublin and tracks 9 and 10 were from a performance at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. Two songs from the album, Hallelujah Is A Word I Won't Use and Look Around Son, This Is Yours have been added to the main setlist for Heroes & Cons.

Release and reception Edit

The album had suprising success it charted in the top 10 in the USA on the first day of release. Critical reaction to the album was very favourable a critic for Rocker magazine stated "The first proper release by this band has been a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait". All songs on the album are some of the best known songs from the band the songs are typically the ones which get the best reaction when performed live. As of 4th January there are no plans for 4th Street Band to tour in support of the album.
