Giselle Sofia Ferreira (born July 27, 1990) is a Brazilian-American singer, choreographer, and model born to Brazilian parents in Miami, Florida. After a successful modeling career, Giselle ventured into music and wrote her debut smash hit single "On Another Level" which was soon followed by a string of other massivly successful singles and a record breaking debut album "Ultraviolet" which was released on May 9, 2011.
Early Life[]
Giselle Sofia Ferreira was born in Miami, Florida in July 27, 1990 to Brazilian parents. Giselle's father who was a popular samba
musician in both Brazil and Florida, was a major part of Giselle attraction to music. When Giselle was 15 she was discovered by Ford Models, and there she began her work modeling for high fashion designers such as Christian Dior, Versace, and Valentino. Because of her fierce walk Giselle rose up to become a supermodel. It is then, that Giselle became closer to music, and used it as an outlet for her emotions.
Music Career[]
2009-2011: Rising Stardum[]
Giselle began writing songs for other artists, and managed to pen 6 #1 hits, and over 20 top 10 hits for various artists. Her success as a model and songwriter isn't the only thing on her repertoire, she is also a popular choreographer for some of the top recording artist. Something that makes her a triple threat in a competitive pop world. Giselle released her first single "On Another Level" which became a big hit, going platinum in its first 6 weeks, a quick success for a debut single. The single incorporates rave and dubstep, and managed to b
ecome an even bigger hit in the clubs. Not longer after, she released her second single " Celebrate (Dance Floor Anthem), which followed the major success of her debut single. Giselle then released her debut album "Ultraviolet" which managed to go top 3 in every country and region selling over 240,000 copies, and sold a million in under 6 weeks. Giselle recently released her first remix album "Giselle in the Mix" which was produced by Buzz & Hype and features apperances from Glamazon and Chloe. The remix album was a smash success, debuting at #1 on every chart, selling 238,267 copies in its first week, and 5 million copies by the end of the world. Making it one of the best selling remix albums of all time. Soon after, Giselle began working on her second album Distorted Perception. Although is was critacally accailmed, the album failed to match the success of her debut album, only selling upwards of 4 million copies. Mona Lisa the lead single was a smash success, becoming her third best-selling single. But subsequent singles failed to match the same impact.
Late 2011 - Present[]
During the Summer of 2011, Giselle went on tour with Glamazon in Europe, and went on a mini hiatus.

During that time, Giselle began to focus on her music and observe society. During that time, she began to see societies addictions to technology, and a "now" mentality. This eventually gave birth to her third album "Robot Lover", which became her most cohesive and refined album. After the lackluster success of "Distorted Perception", Giselle was ready to get back in the game. In the third week of December, Giselle released the first single from the album, "Android", it was a big success, reaching #2 on the Digital Charts, and #9 on the Airplay Charts, making it one of Giselle's biggest hits selling an excess of 800,000 copies thus far. On January 9, 2012 Giselle released "Robot Lover" to both critical and commerical acclaim, nabbing the #1 spot on the Albums chart for 2 un-consecutive weeks so far, with sales of over a million. Giselle then released the single "Digital Love" with Dominic Brown, giving Giselle her first #1 single, and a #1 album at the same time. During that time, Giselle signed withtop electronic label, E Records for a 2 album deal, for an undisclosed amount. "Robot Lover" has thus far been Giselle's most successful album in terms of consitansy and critical acclaim. It was nominated for "Album of the Year" at the Choas Awards, and managed to have all singles go top ten in the Digital and Airplay charts. It was certified triple platinum in April 2012.
