Lewis Mason, born February 25th, 1986, is a British musician, who drums for Pop-Punk stars My Freaky Valentine, and fronts Indie rockers The Ambitious Ones.

Until his mid-teenage years, Mason didn't take much of a strong interest in music at all, until he began listening to various popular Indie Rock artists at the time such as The Get Up Kids, At The Drive In and Cursive.

Mason self-taught himself piano completely at the age of 14 out of interest in aspiring to be a competent musician, and in one years time, he would go on to play in the school jazz orchestra, as well as take up Bass and Guitar.

Mason gathered four friends, one of which was by chance future My Freaky Valentine member Hayley Williams (Vocals/Guitar) and formed The Modern Myth. Two EPs later - Dream In Japanese and Shameless Fameless - and the band embarked on two short UK touring stints. Soon after, the members began to leave for various careers, and the band mutually split.

During this time, Mason went on to study Art and Graphics at Rugby College, promptly picking up a qualification, and began doing various promotional work for lower key bands in the area, and also on the net, including working with more well-known artists.

A late teen indentity crisis caused Mason to drop out of university in his first year studying Graphics Design to teach himself drums, with which he began to find a true calling. Sustaining himself, he would use every opportunity he could to gig, practice, or record. He was constantly writing, whether for bands or himself.

Soon after, Mason became reacquainted with Hayley Williams due to a chance meeting at a local gig, and upon sharing similar musical ambitions and interests, formed My Freaky Valentine.
