Teenage Heartland is the first single from The Junction debut album Heartbreaks & Outtakes. Teenage Heartland is the first track from their debut album And was released on Monday 27th July 2009 and sold 14,771 copies on the first day of release but debuted at no 516 in UK charts and no 923 around the rest of the world. The poor chart positions may be because the single wasn't promoted enough.

The band had never performed the song live until May 2009 where they debuted the song live at the hammersmith apollo, London. Max Armstrong called the song a rallying call for all the american teenagers who are trying to find their way in the most diverse country in the world.
