The Cover Purple is the third full-length album from Orange, CA Heavy Metal band Hostile Takeover. As its name implies, The Cover Purple consists of Hostile Takeover's versions of songs from genres such as classic rock, heavy metal, pop, jazz, and comedy. In continuation of the 1980's movie theme established with the band's two previous albums, The Cover Purple's title is derived from the film "The Color Purple". The Cover Purple was released on April 29, 2008.
