Traffic In The Sky is a 2008 short film directed by Charles Yi. It starred Darren Hamlyn, Heather Soon, James Choi, Julian Lee, and pop singer Natalya Banhart. It is Natalya's first film and acting role. The film was released on September 25th, 2008.

PlotEdit

The story is about a gentle yet complex young man who tells his best friend about an amazing girl (Sarah) he met last night. In the course of his story, not only do we learn about his relationship with Sarah, but his past relationships as well. Each individual (Ryan, Sarah, Liane) discovers their own meaning of how past boyfriends/girlfriends affect their future relationships.

LianeEdit

Liane is said to be the most interesting and complex character.
NatalyaTraffic

Natalya Banhart as Liane in a still.

Her bio reads: Liane is full of potential - she lives in a world of possibilities. To onlookers, Liane may seem directionless and without purpose, but is actually quite consistent. In relationships, Liane always sees the possibilities of what could be, though she may become bored with what actually is.

Liane was played by pop singer Natalya Banhart. Natalya recieved mixed reviews for her performance, some saying she was very believable, others saying she can't act to save her life.

Banhart said in response to the negative reviews: "You know, it is what it is. None of us are effing Meryl Streep, none of us are experienced and seasoned actors. We are all new to this, and I think each one of us brought something special to this movie. I'm proud of it and glad that I was given the opportunity."

ReceptionEdit

Traffic In The Sky recieved many mixed reviews.

To some, it was a tearjerker and made people take the time to actually think about what is going on in their relationships.

To others, it was a badly acted piece of crap.
